- Volvo R-Sport seatcovers, Sadly Discontinued in 2019!
Discontinued!!! Due to factory Burned down, many many years ago. NOT possible to get any more new sets. This will be a legacy blogg post for referance to my past major selling part. That sadly never will be for sale again. The factory burned down a few months after i asked them if there was backup digital of the drawings of Volvos infamouse R-Sport seatcovers. Who knew the whole factory would burn down just short time after with all documentation to vanish forever from this earth... it was a sad moment for the Volvo community in 2019. Though the prices rocketed the last years in sale it went from 4500-9000NOK for a complete set front and rear for any RWD car. New business developers at the factory didn't care about keeping a legacy product around. Just a few was sold for 9000NOK. The Seatcovers excisted for 200, 400, 700, 800 and 900 series + S/V70 firstgen cars only. They were OEM all the way. There is also to be read discussions that there were copies or remakes of these covers but there was only one type. OEM. The only difference you could find was that the badge on the covers was R-Sport for covers sold by Volvo it self until they stopped selling. After that they vere badged with Sport instead. Since Volvo owned the R-Sport badge obviously. 200, 700 and 900 series had extra padding on the sides for very sporty feel. You got STUCK and could drive unsafely fast in corners due to the added sidesupports. It was a truly amazing OEM product.
- From VolvoRsport.com to Bynesetcustoms.com
From the very beginning of time i started out on VolvoForum for making stereo parts, under the name Kodja/ Byneset Customs. That was about 20 years ago. Then VolvoForum became VCCN - Volvo Car Club Norway. And slowly the world developed into a forumless place and more into FB, Instagram etc applications to document their projects and car build. What stayed untouched until now untouched was my Word generated webpage where everyting was manually published and handled... Now... its 2025 and i find my self needed to evolve into a more advanced webshop solution to reach out to people. Luckily so many have been able to find my stuff even on this 1990s looking webpage that have been out there for 20 years. So hopefully many more will find it even easier to shop and find my parts now that i advanced into the new era of onlineshopping. Adding a picture below how my legacy page was looking for referance and memory of the long gone past technology.
